Say cheese the Taiwanese way!

Last night I was having web camera chat with my aunt oversea in Taiwan. I had the idea of taking a photo of us while we are both in another frame. It just came naturally that we both made the "V" sign.... Was it "V" for "Victory" or "Peace" I have no idea anymore... it will just come out so natural when Taiwanese people pose in front of the camera. Why oh why can somebody tell me why???

I love these cultural nuances... but am afraid can't tell you how you both struck the 'v'. she's got a heart-warming smile by the way.

這裡可以打中文嗎?我在想那個YA的手勢,可能除了勝利以外,應該象徵華人照相時很歡愉的氣氛吧!呵呵~我是蛤督啦

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-sign

Check out the section called "Asia and the V sign in Photographs". It's the 4th section of the page if you look at the Contents box.

Enjoy your read.
